The official website of the Japan International Manga Awards announced on Friday that the 16th contest is open to entries. Entries will be open until July 8.
Kodoani.com – Artists and publishers may enter both published and unpublished works in the contest, excluding works that have previously won any of the Japan International Manga Awards. . Entries must include a manga of more than 16 pages that the artist has produced within the past three years. The artist or author of the entry must be a non-Japanese person.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs established the International MANGA Awards in 2007 with the aim of expanding international exchanges and mutual understanding through the MANGA culture that is widely accepted around the world.
This award honors MANGA artists who have contributed to the development of MANGA culture around the world.
The award ceremony for the 15th Japan International Manga Awards took place at the Tokyo Convention Hall on March 4. Aimée de Jongh won the Gold Award for Days of sand. The 16th awards ceremony will take place in Tokyo in February 2023.
