This year’s 43rd issue of Kodansha Magazine Weekly Young revealed on Saturday that the Tokoshie × Bullet Shinminato Kōbōsen (Tokoshie × Bullet: The Battle at Shin Minato) manga will end in the magazine’s next issue on the 27th. .
The manga is part of the Tokoshie × Bullet multimedia project based on the original Morion Airline creative team. The project is a collaboration between Kodansha, Bandai Namco Arts, and 8 milions. Fujimura launched the manga in October 2020, and the manga’s third volume will ship on October 6.
In the project’s story, unidentified giant weapons destroy cities around the world in 2029. The mastermind behind the destruction is known as Tokoshie. Tokoshie call themselves weapons as they take over the streets with their overwhelming power. Then they disappeared, and a decade passed.
A certain military enterprise develops a combat drone that can fight the Tokoshie. A certain rich person goes underground in search of Tokoshie’s secret to live forever. A certain girl embarks on the path of fighting Tokoshie, the enemy of her parents. This is a chronicle of the long war between humanity and its enemy Tokoshie.
Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Fujimura published the manga The Will of the Gods (Kami-sama no Iu Toori) manga in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from 2011 to 2012. The two subsequently launched a sequel featuring titled Like God’s Will: Second Series (Kami-sama no Iu Toori Ni) in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2013. The manga ended in December 2016. Crunchyroll also published the chapter online along with the Japanese release, and Kodansha Comics released all 21 volumes.
Kami-sama no Iu Toori adapted a live-action film directed by Takashi Miike in 2014.
Kaneshiro and Fujimura launched a new manga Gnoshros in Kodansha’s Youth Magazine in July 2017. Fujimura and Takeshi Nozawa subsequently launched a new manga titled Aiishitemasu, Kyōko-san (I Love You, Kyōko- san) in Youth Magazine Issue 3 in May 2019 The manga went on hiatus in January and went digital on the Yanmaga Web and Comic Days websites when it returned on August 18.
