Players are very much looking forward to the return of the Chemical Dragon in the 2023 Pre-Season.
Was released in the early days of League of Legends season 12 with a very unique zombie mechanism. But the Tech Dragon was gradually removed from the game by Riot because of the imbalance it brought. In the opinion of many players at the time, the “zombie” effect that Dragon Soul Transformed into became too OP, making it difficult for many teams to turn the game around when they were in the lead. In addition, the camouflage fog of the Dragon Chemistry map is also extremely annoying when the losing teams have a headache to figure out how to control the vision while the other team will easily prepare the opening screens. Unexpected fight from the opponent’s jungle.
Not only that, the mechanics around Dragon Chemistry also often have errors that make players have a very bad experience
But Riot never gives up with any of their products, in the upcoming Pre-Season, their official Dragon Transformation will bring back with completely different effects and maps. Specifically, the Dragon Transformation buff will provide 5% Effect Resistance, 5% Health Regeneration, and Shield at each stack. At the same time, this Dragon’s soul also gives the player a 10% reduction in damage taken, and also increases them by 10% of the damage dealt when below 50% health.
Explaining the decision to bring back the Chemical Dragon, Riot Phroxzon responded to the Comic Book page as follows:
“When we first launched Arcane, people were really excited about Zaun and everything around it. But we felt we had a lot of trouble trying to bring that into the game.”
Phroxzon also said that the developers in the Riot team are still working day and night to better optimize Dragon Chemistry to meet the expectations of players. He also promises that this return of the Chemical Dragon will definitely bring players a really interesting map to enjoy and experience. At the same time, the effects from the buff as well as the soul from the Dragon Transformation Skill have also been optimized to give players a more balanced match than ever.
The Chemical Dragon is expected to return in the 2023 Pre-Season, which is version 12.22 on November 16. Let’s wait and see if this time Riot will really bring us the interesting things of the new Dragon Chemistry.
