Trigun Stamped announced they will be bringing back Vash’s original voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch to reprise his role in the English dub 25 years later.

Nearly 25 years after being cast as Vash in the 1998 English dub of Trigun, Bosch will return as “The Humanoid Typhoon” in the new 2023 adaptation of Trigun Stampede. Bosch expressed excitement about rejoining the series. “Voicing Vash the Stampede in the original TRIGUN series is a role that really marked my career and I’m super excited to voice him again in this brand new anime adaptation from Orange,” he said. “I look forward to continuing this adventure with fans again and hopefully new audiences will enjoy the journey as well.” The English dub will premiere on January 21, 2023.
Other Roles of Bosch in Anime
Bosch started out as an actor when he was cast as Adam Park, the second Black Power Ranger in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series. After Trigun, Vash went on to voice other films, such as Kenda in the 2001 hit classic film Akira, Kiba in 2004’s Wolf’s Rain and Genma Shiranui in Naruto. Jeremy Inman, who directed Golden Kamuy and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, will be the ADR director for the English dub.
The English dub of Trigun Stampede will premiere on January 21, 2023, but in the meantime, fans can watch the series with English subtitles.
