Riot emphasizes that the tweaks to Gladiator’s equipment will help limit the excessive recovery time in some champions in League of Legends.
Riot Games is still testing and making many changes to the game in 2023 after the big pre-season update last. Opening the new season, the “father” of LMTH brought a series of different tweaks, including nerfing Aatrox – a strong choice at Worlds 2022 and increasing Jayce’s damage a bunch. Recently, Riot has done what they have promised for a long time, which is to bring modifications to the equipment of the Gladiator class.
TheTruexy, a member of the Summoner’s Rift design team, has revealed the expected changes to Riot’s Gladiator items. Specifically, there will be a series of changed equipment as follows:
Black Ax
Attack Damage increased from 45 to 50 Health increased from 350 to 400
Death dance
Attack Power increased from 55 to 65 Armor increased from 45 to 50 Skill Recovery stat Cleared NEW Recipe: Two Pickaxes + Net Armor. Heal on kills reduced from 120% bonus Attack Damage to 50%
Moon Blade
Passive cooldown reduced from 8/16 sec to 6/12 sec Removes Total Lifesteal stat NEW Stats: Now grants 15 Skill Cooldown NEW Recipe: Savage Knife + Caufield War Hammer + Long Sword
Vampire Mace
Mythic Passive changed from 7 Skill Regen to 50 Health + 3 Skill Regen
The Mace of Thorns Malmortius
Attack Power increased from 55 to 65 Removes Skill Regen Removes Total Lifesteal when active NEW passive: When passive is active, gains 12% Lifesteal NEW Recipe: Sawtooth Sword + Pickaxe + Long Sword
Snake Ax
Skill Regen increased from 20 to 25 Removes Full Lifesteal stat NEW: Now grants 10% Lifesteal NEW: Splash damage will also apply Lifesteal
Riot has almost removed the Total Lifesteal stat in this edit. To explain this behavior, TheTruexy says the difference between Lifesteal and Full Lifesteal lies in the complexity of balancing them. Instead of Lifesteal will be applied to basic attacks or skills that apply, but Full Lifesteal can be applied to all skills that deal damage, thereby creating an uncontrollable amount of healing. control.
According to TheTruexy, in addition to Full Lifesteal, Riot is also interested in another stat, Skill Recovery Points. Although this is a stat that most Gladiators need, in his opinion the cooldowns of some champions are too short. That will make it easy for them to counterattack and create spectacular flips.
However, Riot has not yet given a specific time for these changes to officially land. But anyway, they have started testing on the PBE server and will probably edit again in the coming days.
