Kodoani.com – Project introduction website SAND LAND announced on Wednesday that manga SAND LAND author Akira Toriyama’s anime adaptation will hit theaters in Japan on August 18. Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga and Anima will produce the animations. The site also revealed character images:
The work was previously announced in December as a “screen adaptation”.
The Sand Land manga is a series of short stories that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha published a compiled book volume in November 2000.
