Kumiko Suekane to launch manga in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh on June 27
Kodoani.com – Kumiko Suekane’s manga adaptation from RWBY: Ice Queendom (RWBY: Hyōsetsu Teikoku), the new television anime for Rooster Teeth’s RWBY franchise, launched in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine on June 27.
RWBY: Ice Queendom presents RWBY in stunning 2D anime visuals. RWBY imagines a world filled with monstrous monsters aiming for death and destruction, and humanity’s only hope depends on powerful Hunters and Hunters. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long are four such Hunters in training whose journey will take them far beyond the campus of their school, Beacon Academy. While each may have their own unique strengths, these four girls must overcome the dark forces and work as a team if they truly hope to become the next generation of Remnant guardians.
The anime premiered in Japan on July 3 on Tokyo MX and BS11, and on July 5 on MBS.
Toshimasa Suzuki (Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne, The Price of Smiles) is directing the anime at SHAFT . Kenjirō Okada appointed as director. Gen Urobuchi is said to have come up with the idea for the anime, with Tow Ubukata writing and supervising the script. huke is designing the characters for the anime, while Nobuhiro Sugiyama is designing those characters for the animation, and serves as the animation director alongside Yoshiaki Ito and Hiroki Yamamura. Nobuyuki Takeuchi is directing the photography. Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi are composing music.
Members of the original English cast and Japanese dub will take over the roles for the anime. Void_Chords feat. L performed the opening theme song “Beyond S yourself.” Saori Hayami performed the ending theme song “Awake.”
