Before Fallout 5 launches, Bethesda is hoping to release The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield first. Starfield is slated to launch in 2023, but The Elder Scrolls 6 is still in pre-production and could be a long way off. This means that Fallout fans will be left with almost no game from the series in years to come. The only option is new Fallout content for Fallout 76, otherwise gamers will only be able to replay one of the older titles in the series.
The last single-player Fallout game came out in 2015, and Bethesda’s next RPG Starfield is due out in 2023. It’s been an eight-year wait between Bethesda’s major titles and if The Elder Scrolls 6 follows that pattern, it could only be released seven to eight years after Starfield. Then Fallout 5 will be even longer, which means Fallout fans may have to wait for something new from their favorite franchise for nearly a decade. It’s been a long wait, and the studio needs to deliver some sort of Fallout content outside of Fallout 76 to get people through until then.

A Fallout Remaster or Remake needs to be released

A Fallout 4 remaster could do the same thing, driving players back to The Commonwealth through new and improved features.
Re-releasing Fallout 4 in the meantime would be a nice step to keep the franchise alive for a long time, but there are other games in the series that could also launch a remaster or remake. Reworking or remaking old games tends to be easier to do than creating a brand new game, and there are a few games in the series that fans would love to re-enjoy. The series’ fanbase doesn’t know what the future holds, and Bethesda may have some big plans to keep players with Fallout beyond Fallout 76.
