Studio Eclypse, creators of the highly anticipated upcoming Berserk: The Black Swordsman anime series, released a video trolling fans with the title's first “trailer” for April Fools' Day — with some Funny responses from viewers.
On April Fools’ Day 2024, Studio Eclypse appeared to reveal the “trailer” for the long-awaited Berserk: The Black Swordsman series, with the post captioning: “???? After months of hard work, it has finally arrived… Thank you all for your support ???? #BERSERK #ベルセルク #schnuz #studioeclypse.” The post features a 16-second clip of Femto humorously playing the role of Chimimoryo from the series, named “Schnoz” by fans. As usual every year, April Fools' Day in the anime community has created many funny memes. For many, popular anime database and tracker AniList “won” the day after changing many of its entries to include popular references. Several anime title cards have been replaced with Shrek – now listed as an anime entry on the site – even Solo Leveling's Jin-woo and Demon Slayer Season 4 was not spared damage. MyAnimeList changed the presentation of scores to a mountain, denoting how “top-notch” an anime is, instead of the usual score of 10.
