French artist Jérôme Alquié, Arnaud Dollen launch comics in 2022
Kodoani.com – Ablaze Publishing has announced the launch of a new manga series in the new Saint Seiya franchise titled “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac – Time Odyssey“. This series will be created by French artists Jérôme Alquié and Arnaud Dollen based on the brand of Masami Kurumada, the original author of Saint Seiya, and Jérôme Alquié will also be in charge of the art.
The story of the series revolves around the goddess Athena and her knights, led by Seiya, having to reunite to deal with Chronos, the god of time. Chronos intends to join the ranks of the Olympian gods. To carry out this plan, he creates the Doomsday Clock, allowing him to interfere with the past, present and future, threatening both the knights and the Earth.
The “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac – Time Odyssey” series debuted in Akita Shoten’s Champion RED magazine in July 2022 and was then officially published in France in September 2022. Masami Kurumada is the author origin of the Saint Seiya series, a popular manga series published from 1986 to 1990 and adapted for a series of anime, manga, and spin-off works. Crunchyroll has also streamed the CG anime “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac – Battle for Sanctuary” and has announced that there will be a third season for the project.
