The previously announced Acro Trip anime has revealed its first trailer and images as well as details about the main cast. Studio Voil, a new studio represented by former Geno Studio animation producer Takeo Ootaka, is animating the series.

The main cast includes Miku Ito as Chizuko Date, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Chrome, Inori Minase as Berry Blossom/Kaju Noichigo and Kengo Kawanishi as Mashirou. Ayumu Kotake will direct the film, with Shinichi Inotsume writing the script. Toshie Kawamura took on the role of design and Ryo Tanaka directed the sound.
Manga Acro Trip is written and illustrated by Yone Sawata. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Ribon shojo magazine from February 2017 to December 2022 and consists of five volumes.
Anime Acro Trip – The first important imageAcro Trip is about Date Chizuko, an otaku girl obsessed with the magical girl Berry Blossom, the protector of her city. However, Berry’s enemy – Chroma from the evil organization Fossa Magna – is incompetent and weak so no one cares about their fight. Chizuko then vows to discover the magical girl’s various exploits herself.
In addition to Acro Trip, their first production, Studio Voil is also producing animation for the recently announced Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu anime adaptation, airing in 2025. Voil has also assisted on the Tomo series -chan Is A Girl, although it’s unclear. In what areas did they assist?
