Hiroyuki Yoshino, Mutsumi Kaneko join cast for anime to premiere October 2
Kodoani.com – Official website for the anime television series based on the light novel series “Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudō-ki” (A Playthrough of a Some Dude’s VRMMO Life) by author Howahowa Shiina and illustrator Yamaada revealed two new cast members on Friday. The new cast includes Hiroyuki Yoshino as Ward and Mutsumi Kaneko as Myun (character name transliterated in Latin not confirmed).
Additionally, the site is also streaming a preview for the show’s first episode. This anime will premiere in 2024, and details about the story and cast will be revealed in the future.
“Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudō-ki” is a story about a middle-aged man named Taichi Tanaka (voiced by Daisuke Namikawa) who has a normal office job and a hobby of playing video games. He begins participating in a new VRMMO called “One More Free Life Online” as a boy avatar named “Earth”. In this virtual world, players have the freedom to create their own skills and adventures. This anime is directed by Yusuke Nakazawa, an animation director who has worked on projects such as “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders” and “Welcome to the NHK”. The film’s script is written by Touko Machida, who has participated in projects such as “Lucky Star” and “Show By Rock!! Stars!!”. It is expected that the anime will premiere on October 2, 2024.
