Blue Archive is a role-playing mobile gacha game developed by Yostar Japan and Korean game studio Nexon, a subsidiary of Nexon Games (formerly known as NAT Games). It was initially released in Japan on February 4, 2021, while Nexon published the global version on November 8, 2021. The game is free to play with optional in-app purchases. An anime television adaptation was announced in a 2nd anniversary special.
Blue Archive’s story takes place in Kivotos, an academy city formed by the merger of thousands of academies. The game’s players take on the role of a teacher who guides students in the Federal Investigation Club, also known as Schale. As the city’s newest club, they receive a request from the General Student Council to assist them in keeping the city of Kivotos out of danger.
