Blue Archive The Animation has announced a release date of April 7, 2024, according to the official X account. The film is an animation co-production between Yostar Pictures and CANDYBOX, with Shochiku producing. Fans can check out the previously released key visual below:
The Blue Archive release date means the series will launch with Shochiku producer Astro Note. Yostar Pictures will also animate Sorairo Utility, which has released a new trailer for the upcoming anime series.
Blue Archive The Animation is gaining more and more attention with its weekly character introductions. the latest work features Haruka (see below). The cast of Blue Archive The Animation was revealed in February. Daigo Yamagishi (Show By Rock!! Stars!!) will direct the film. He will also be in charge of writing the series along with Hiroshi Onogi. who was in a similar staff position on the iconic Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series.
Hiromitsu Hagiwara (Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc) will serve as animation director and character designer. Kazuhiro Arai (Attack on Titan: Junior High) is the art director for Blue Archive The Animation while Haruka Goto (Farewell, My Dear Cramer) is the photography director. Koji Hamaoka (Tokyo Ghoul) is in charge of color design while Ayumu Takahashi (Angel Beats!) is in charge of editing. Shunji Maki (Zoids Wild) is the assistant director.
Blue Archive is based on the role-playing mobile gacha game of the same name by Nexon Games. First released in Japan on February 4, 2021, the game has confirmed a television anime adaptation for the game’s 2nd anniversary special. Anime official description: Kivotos is a giant academic city consisting of thousands of schools. Here, fights between students with guns in their hands have become a daily occurrence. In the meantime, Abydos High School, which is covered in sand, is on the verge of closing. The story begins when five students of the ‘Coping Committee’ who are struggling to escape this situation meet an ‘adult’ named ‘Sensei.’
