Kodoani.com – Anime series Shi ga Utsukushii Nante Dare ga Itta (Who Said Death Was Beautiful?) will be introduced through a new trailer and the full version of the acapella song “Kioku” performed by Momonnu.
The film is adapted from the book of the same name by Rika Hirotsu and revolves around a Japan devastated by a zombie pandemic. The government only treats those who can recover and locks the remaining zombies in a walled area.
The story focuses on Rei, an infected but treated poet, as well as Rei’s sister Yūna and their doctor Rika. When zombies infiltrate through the fence, Rika enlists the help of a smuggler named Takeshiba and pushes Rei and Yūna to seek treatment abroad.
The cast includes Ryōki Nagae as Rei, Rika Mayama as Yūna, Yurika Nakamura as Rika, and Takeshi James Yamada as Takeshiba.
Ryō Nakajima directed the film, with a script by Takahiro Tsuzuki and Reiko Honjō. Katsura Rokkaku and Sanpo Yokoi are the character designers, while Shinya Kiyokawa is composing the music.
Eins is the company that produced the film, using motion capture technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
The film is scheduled to air in Japan on December 22.
