Kazuhiko Inoue, Masaki Terasoma, and more seiyu join for anime premiere on January 7
Kodoani.com – Staffing for Chillin’ in My 30s after started from the Demon King’s Army, an anime adaptation of the light novel Ch Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life (The Slow Second Life of the Retired Dark Soldier in His 30s)illin’ in My 30s after Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army, revealed the show’s second promotional video on Monday. The video also reveals the opening song.
The staff also revealed five more cast members on Monday.

The anime will premiere in Japan on January 7, and Crunchyroll will stream the series starting on the same day.

Fumitoshi Oizaki directed the film at Promotion Films. Yoshihide Yuuzumi is the assistant director. Hitomi Amamiya handled the script and film layout. Satomi Yonezawa is designing the characters. Tsubasa Ito composed the music. Hinano will perform the opening theme song “Changemaker” and Akari Kitō will perform the anime’s ending theme song “Dear Doze Days.”
The story revolves around Dariel, a soldier in the Dark Lord’s army who cannot use magic. Instead, the guy uses his wisdom and initiative as an assistant to one of the Dark Lord’s most trusted captains. But when the captain is immediately replaced, Dariel also loses his privileged position and is fired. In frustration, he retires to a human village, starting a new life using his ability to accept requests for help.
Okazawa began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2018 and ended it in July 2020. Kodansha began publishing the manga in print in August 2019, with sage joh drawing.
Rurekuchie launched a manga adaptation of the novel in Kodansha’s 3rd issue of Young Magazine in August 2019, but moved the manga to Monthly Young Magazine in April 2021 when Young Magazine 3’s publication ceased.
