Kodoani.com – Kadokawa has just revealed the main character image and announced the upcoming TV anime premiere in July, based on the romcom novel “Gimai Seikatsu” (Days With My Stepsister) by author Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Hiten, on Monday.
Below are the actors and roles in the anime:
Kouhei Amasaki will voice the character Yuta Asamura.
Yuki Nakashima will take on the role of Ayase Saki.
Other cast members include Minori Suzuki (as Shiori Yomiuri), Daiki Hamano (as Tomokazu Maru), and Ayu Suzuki (as Maaya Narasaka).
The film is directed by Tsutomu Ueno at Studio DEEN, with a script written by Mitsutaka Hirota (Edens Zero, Bibliophile Princess) and character designs by Manabu Nii (Akiba Maid War, The Day I Became a God).
“Gimai Seikatsu” focuses on the story of Yuta Asamura, who has to get used to having a new step-sister, Saki Ayase, after his parents remarried when he was in high school. Both have an understanding of the relationship between men and women through their parents, and to maintain harmony in the family, they agree to keep a distance that is not too far, but not too close either. The story takes place as they slowly learn to comfortably live together and learn about each other.
The first novel of “Gimai Seikatsu” was published by Kadokawa in January 2021, and the 10th volume will be released on January 25. Author Ghost Mikawa previously wrote the light novel series “My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!”.
A manga adaptation illustrated by Yumika Kanade is also being published, with the third volume releasing on September 26.
