Dorohedoro anime adaptation is getting a sequel, as previously announced today. Detailed information has not been disclosed. Q Hayashida commented on the announcement saying that production has been underway for a while and she is looking forward to seeing the results. The teaser image for the Dorohedoro sequel features Kaiman and Nikaido, voiced by Wataru Takagi and Reina Kondo:
MAPPA animated the first season of the Dorohedoro anime, which began airing in Winter 2020 in Japan. Overseas, the series is a Netflix exclusive, and its 12 episodes appeared on the streaming platform on May 28 of that year. Yuichiro Hayashi directed and wrote the anime with Hiroshi Seko on the series’ layout and script. Tomohiro Kishi is responsible for the character designs. Q Hayashida’s Doroheroro manga began serialization in 2000 in Shogakukan’s Monthly Ikki Magazine. After the magazine ceased publication in 2014, the manga moved to Hibana in 2015 and ceased publication two years later, so the Doroheroro manga ended its run in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2018. The 167 chapters were collected into 23 practice. VIZ Media published the manga in English.
