The show’s first 4 episodes debuted on Tuesday on the FOD streaming service
Kodoani.com – The official website for the anime project Estab-Life by Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass, Planetes, Back Arrow) revealed information about the project’s main song, on Tuesday. Mei-chan performed the opening song “Rana” and the 5-member band GOOD ON THE REEL performed the ending song “0.”
The first four episodes of the anime began streaming on the FOD service on Tuesday. Episodes 5-8 will premiere on March 22, and episodes 9-12 will premiere on April 12. After that, the anime will premiere on television in April on the anime channel + Ultra on Fuji TV.

Tomomi Mineuchi as Ekua, the leader of Nigashiya
Rie Takahashi as Feresu, the super athletic, fast-shooting “gun witch”
Maria Naganawa as Maruteese, a slime human
Sho Hayami as Aruga, an old donkey of an AI robot
Shinichiro Miki as Urura, a werewolf who says nothing but “wan” (woof woof)
The project will feature a television anime, game and anime shorts, themed “escape,” “records,” and “variant,” respectively.
The story is set in the distant future when the world’s population has begun to shrink after reaching its peak. The “Supernatural Renovation Project” divides Tokyo with its towering walls into several residential areas within the Cluster, each with unique genetically modified populations, run by artificial intelligence.
Most people live their lives in their own unique Clusters, happily unconcerned with the afterlife. However, there are some who managed to escape to other Clusters. An outfit called Nigashiya helps those who want to escape.
Taniguchi is credited for the original concept and creative oversight of the Setting-Life: Great Escape television anime, and SSF is credited with the original story. Hiroyuki is the anime director at Polygon Pictures, and Shoji Gatoh is supervising and writing the script.
Yūsuke Kozaki drafted the original character designs, and INEI’s Kenichiro Tomiyasu drafted the concept art. Yoshiaki Fujisawa will be composing the music. Slow Curve developed and produced the project.
Square Enix is developing the mobile game Setting-Life: Unity Memories. Taniguchi is also credited for the original concept and creative oversight, and SSF is also credited with the original story.
Taniguchi also directly directed and wrote the Eiga Estab-Life: Revengers’ Road (Estab-Life the Movie: Revengers’ Road) script, in addition to conceiving the original concept. SSF is once again credited with the original story and Polygon Pictures is producing the animation.
