The ongoing fantasy anime adaptation is entering a new storyline
Kodoani.com – “Freezing: Beyond Journey’s End” hay so close to freezing a currently airing television anime based on the manga of the same name, has aired two additional character preview clips. This time, the video focuses on the characters Übel (voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa) and Land (voiced by Shohei Komatsu). The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll as part of the winter 2024 anime simulcast lineup.
The manga “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” is written by Kanehito Yamada, illustrated by Tsukasa Abe and serialized in Japan by Shogakukan in their Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. The English version of the manga is published by Viz Media. The television anime was directed by Keiichiro Saito at the MADHOUSE animation studio.

The magician Frieren defeated the Demon King along with the hero Himmel’s party after a 10-year quest. Peace was restored to the kingdom. Because she is an ELF, she can live for over a thousand years. She promised Himmel and the others that she would return to meet them and then set off on her own journey. Fifty years later, Frieren visited Himmel and the others. She hasn’t changed, but Himmel and the others have aged and only have parts of their lives left. Later, she witnessed Himmel’s death. Frieren is heartbroken by his desire to spend more time getting to know people. With that regret in her heart, she continued her journey to do just that. On her journey, she meets many people and many events await her.
