Part 1 of the epic battle will premiere in Japan on February 16
Kodoani.com – Last month, it was announced that the deciding volleyball match between Karasuno and Nekoma would be shown on IMAX screens in Japan as the final anime film of the series. Haikyu!! Aired. Everyone was eagerly awaiting the showdown between the two teams, but the new poster for the IMAX release now shows what fans really want to see: the showdown between Hinata and Kenma.

Toho Animation resumed production on the final two films of Haikyu!! with the Production IG team, including director and screenwriter Susumu Mitsunaka, character designer Takahiro Kishida and animation director Takahiro Chiba. The first film is titled “Gomisuteba no Kessen” and is scheduled to premiere in Japan on February 16, 2024.
Haikyu!! appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 20, 2012 to July 20, 2020, with 402 chapters compiled into 45 volumes. All chapters have been translated into English and can be read on the Shonen Jump app.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming four seasons of the anime television series Haikyu!!, which depicts the story revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball, inspired by volleyball and life. The anime follows the journey of Hinata and the volleyball team, from initial failure to growth and facing strong opponents like Tobio Kageyama.
