The previously announced Honey Lemon Soda anime will air in January 2025, as previously announced. Studio JC Staff is making the series under the direction of Hiroshi Nishikiori.

Akiko Waba is in charge of compiling the series. Aimi Tanaka designed the characters and Akira Kosemura composed the music. The anime will premiere on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block.
The Honey Lemon Soda anime is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Mayu Murata. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shojo manga magazine Ribon since December 2015 and currently has 24 volumes running. The series also inspired a live-action film adaptation in July 2021.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English, and they describe the plot as follows: Middle school left Uka Ishimori with nothing but scars—to the point where she forgot how to laugh, cry, or even say “please Hello”. But the chance to meet a boy with lemon-colored hair again reinvigorates her, giving her hope that maybe, just maybe, life could be that much sweeter if she finally found come for help.
