Unable to sleep at night, Ganta Nakami is irritable in class and unpopular with his classmates. He discovers that the school’s observatory, once used by the now-defunct astronomy club, might be the perfect place to take a nap—but he’s not alone. Co-worker with insomnia Isaki Magari readily shares the observatory with Nakami, and the friendship between the two begins when they stick together for the most unlikely of things.
Dark rumors about what happened to members of the astronomy club keep people away from the school’s observatory, and that’s what makes it the perfect haven for Nakami and Magari. get some much needed rest. Unfortunately, school faculty cannot authorize unauthorized use. But if there was a new astronomy club, maybe these two insomniacs would have a place to call home!
The manga is also adapting a live-action film that will also premiere in 2023. The music video for the song “Enshin” (Centrifuge) by rock band Macaroni Enpitsu features art from the manga in 2019. .
