Kodoani.com – The production team for the anime adaptation of the manga Kaiju No.8 by Naoya Matsumoto released a new promotional video for the anime. The video reveals that the anime will premiere in April 2024.

Production IG (Ghost in the Shell) is producing the anime and Studio Khara (Rebuild of Evangelion) is in charge of the kaiju design and visuals.
Author Matsumoto launches Kaiju No. 8 in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website. The first print volume shipped in December 2020 and the volume has since had several more prints due to demand. Shueisha Publishing House published the manga’s tenth volume on August 4.
In September 2021, the Kaiju No. 8 has surpassed 4 million copies sold, making it the fastest manga on Shonen Jump+ to reach this milestone.
The series was nominated for the 14th Manga Taisho Awards in January 2021, the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize last February, and the Eisner Award in May. Kaiju No. 8 won first place at the seventh “Next Generation Manga Awards” (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) in the web manga category in August 2021.
