The official website for the television anime adaptation of Mameko Mameko’s Mameko NEET no Nichijō (Mameko Mamekichi’s Daily NEET Life) manga posted a promotional video and images for the second season on Wednesday.
As for the second season, the anime will air in the new Poka Poka program on Fuji TV on January 11 and air every Monday and Wednesday. After that, each episode will stream for a week in Japan only on YouTube, FOD, TVer, and GYAO! service immediately after the broadcast. (The first season of the anime premiered on October 3, 2022 on Fuji TV’s Pop UP! on the same weekday noon time slot, but that show ended on December 23.)
Mamekichi publishes autobiographical essay manga on their blog. The manga chronicles Mamekichi’s NEET (No Education, Employment or Training) life with his dog Komachi and cats Tabi, Simba and Melo.

Satoshi Kuwabara (The Quintessential Quintuplets, Adachi and Shimamura, Girlfriend, Girlfriend) is directing the anime at Tezuka Production. Wataru Chihara is designing the characters, while Makoto Nagao is credited as the supporting character designer. Yoshimi Sakai is the art director, while Yumi Aburaya is the color lead artist. Hiroshi Onishi is the director of compositing photography, while Wataru Uchida is editing. Satoshi Motoyama is the sound director.
The manga also inspired a live-action mini-series to premiere in 2021.
