Kodoani.com – Official X/Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the manga Mission: Yozakura Family (original title: Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen) by Hitsuji Gondaira announced on Sunday that the anime will get a second season and streamed an excited announcement video. The anime's 27th and final episode aired on Sunday, marking an important milestone in the series' journey.

Anime Mission: Yozakura Family premiered in Japan on April 7 on MBS, TBS and their 26 affiliated channels. Disney streams the anime via Hulu in the United States with an English dub. The series is also available on Prime Video and Netflix in Japan, expanding its reach to global fans.

“High school student Taiyou Asano has been socially awkward since Asano's family died in a car accident. The only person he can properly communicate with is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura—the head of the world's most powerful spy family. Mutsumi's eldest brother, Kyouichirou Yozakura, has been overprotective of her since he once seriously injured her. His love for Mutsumi is deadly, and Taiyou is his next target. To survive, Taiyou must marry Mutsumi and become a member of the Yozakura clan. The Mission: Yozakura Family manga launched in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August 2019. Viz Media also published the manga in English digitally and began releasing the compiled volumes in August 2019. December 2020, with the first physical version launching in October 2022. Shueisha's MANGA Plus service also released the manga in English.
A novel in the series debuted in July 2023, adding more depth to the world of Yozakura Family.
