Content: The story begins with Igarashi, a professional golfer who was eliminated from his career due to an incident and moved to the Tokara Islands of Kagoshima Prefecture to find peace. There he meets Tonbo, a girl who plays golf at a homemade course on the islands known as “Japan’s last wilderness.” The story revolves around the relationship between them and Tonbo’s secret.
The manga “Hey! Tonbo” was written by Ken Kawasaki and Yū Furusawa, and began serialization in Weekly Golf Digest magazine in August 2014. As of the time of announcement, 48 volumes have been published.
