Etsuko Kozakura, Tarusuke Shingaki join the cast; Okinawa HY band performs opening theme song
Kodoani.com – The production team of the TV anime adapted from the manga “I am the first man to be a hero in Okinawa.” (The Dialect of the Girl I Fell in Love With in Okinawa is too Difficult to Deal With) by Egumi Sora revealed on Friday two new characters, the opening theme song artist, a preview video, and an anime premiere date of January 2025.

Etsuko Kozakura as Oki Memo Shisha, a character based on an ancient Okinawan lion statue used to ward off evil spirits. She is responsible for introducing Okinawa to the series.

The anime will premiere in January 2025 on TOKYO MX, BS11, and on three TV channels in Okinawa: Okinawa TV, Ryukyu Broadcasting, and Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting. The four-member band HY from Uruma City in Okinawa is responsible for performing the anime's opening theme song.

The romantic comedy manga revolves around a boy named Teruaki Nakamurawho moved from Tokyo to Okinawa. There, he found a girl he liked named Hina Kyan. But Teruaki is having trouble understanding Hina's Okinawan dialect. Hina's friend is Kana Higa always helps Teruaki and translates dialects for him. But what he doesn't know is that Kana secretly likes him.
The manga launched on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website in January 2020. Shinchosha published the first volume in July 2020 and the eighth volume on February 8. The manga has 350,000 copies in print.
