Kodoani.com – Official Twitter account of the anime series “The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash” (Saijaku Tamer wa Gomihiroi no Tabi o Hajimemashita) – based on the light novel series of the same name has revealed new visuals for the anime along with a release date of January 12.
The anime is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX and BS Asahi on January 12 at 11:00 pm (10:00 am EDT) and on ABC TV on January 13.
The cast includes Aina Suzuki as Ivy and Mutsumi Tamura as Sora. Both performed these roles in the previous drama CD of this series.
The anime series is directed and supervised by Shigeyasu Yamauchi (director of Boys Over Flowers, Casshern Sins, Dream Eater Merry), with director Naoki Horiuchi (episode director of Naruto Shippūden, Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-, The Demon Girl Next Door ) at Studio Massket. Katsuhiko Takayama (screenwriter for Look Up at the Half Moon, ef: a Tale of Memories, Ga-Rei: Zero) is in charge of compiling the series. Feng Cheng Hu and Yuki Ikeda are the character designers, and Kujira Yumemi (In the Land of Leadale, Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible) is the music composer.
The story revolves around Ivy, a weakest tamer, and her journey scavenging in an RPG-like world. After taming Sora, a weak slime, both of their lives changed completely.
The original novel began streaming online on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2018 and is still ongoing. The work was later published as a novel in print by TO Books, and a manga adaptation was also released.
