Tower Of God will return in summer 2024
The trailer does not contain anything from the anime but is instead a manhwa trailer. According to the teaser, the anime will adapt the Return Of The Prince Arc and the Workshop Battle Arc. This suggests that Tower of God season 2 will be divided into 2 parts. A new character, Ja Wangnan, will be introduced in the first season, set 6 years after Bam was betrayed by Rachel and was thrown to the bottom of the Wine Glass, and was presumed dead.
Anime Tower of God is an adaptation of the very popular webtoon of the same name, created by the talented SIU. The webtoon has been running since 2010 and is still ongoing. Although very famous, the author often takes long vacations, some lasting nearly a year. The story follows Bam, a boy who has lived in a cave his whole life but ends up in a massive tower after the only person he knows, Rachel, leaves him to go there. The tower promises to grant anyone who reaches the top any wish, and only those called Regulars are allowed to enter it. However, even though Bam was not destined to enter the tower, he went in anyway, making him a type of anomaly known as an Irregular.
Tower of God set a great precedent for Korean manhwa being adapted into anime, followed by anime like Solo Leveling. Webtoons have always been popular with anime and manga fans, so it’s great to see their popularity growing through anime adaptations.
