Kodoani.com – Official website of the TV anime manga Uncle From Another World (Isekai Ojisan) of Hotondoshindeiru announced on Monday that the production team is delaying the broadcast of episode 13 of the anime due to the spread of COVID-19 in China. Instead, episode 12 of the anime will be re-aired on December 29. The staff will reveal the premiere date of episode 13 at a later date.
The anime premiered worldwide on Netflix on July 6. The anime also premiered in Japan on AT-X on July 6. The anime was delayed by two weeks airing the fifth episode from the scheduled time. aired August 3 to August 17 due to the spread of COVID-19 in the studio. The anime production committee then delayed the eighth episode and beyond to September, citing the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 infections in Atelier Pontdarc and other studios involved in anime production. Instead, the anime re-aired episodes 3-6 throughout September.
The anime then began airing again from the first episode on October 6.
Shigeki Kawai is directing the anime at Atelier Pontdarc, and Kenta Ihara is overseeing and writing the series’ scripts. Kazuhiro Ōta designed the characters. Mayu Maeshima performed the anime’s opening theme song “story”. Yuka Iguchi performed the ending theme song “Ichibanboshi Sonority.”

Hotondoshindeiru launched the manga on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website in June 2018 and it’s still ongoing.
