Kodoani.com – The official Twitter account of the television anime adaptation of the light novel Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha (The Dreaming Man is a Realist) creator Okemaru announced on Saturday that Rin Shinomiya’s voice actress Kaori Ishihara will perform the anime’s opening theme song.

The anime will premiere in 2023.
Kazuomi Koga directed the anime at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. Michiko Yokote is in charge of the series’ script. Masaru Koseki will be adapting Sabamizore’s original character designs into animation. Hajime Takakuwa is the sound director. Pony Canyon is producing music.

In the story of “one-sided love”, high school student Wataru Sajō falls in love with his beautiful classmate Aika Natsukawa. Aika finds him a nuisance, but the guy dreams of her mutual love daily and continues to approach her. However, one day, he suddenly woke up from this “dream”. In order to regain his sense of reality, he realized his place and moved away from Aika. But now for some reason Aika was completely shaken.
Okemaru launched the series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in December 2018, where it is underway. Hobby Japan will publish the novel in print with illustrations by Sabamizore, and release the seventh volume on August 1. Popuri Yoshikita is drawing a manga adaptation, and Kadokawa publishes the third volume on November 25.
