The girl and the hacker unravel the mysterious phenomenon that is destroying an online society
Kodoani.com – Official Twitter account for TV anime Yurei Deco (also written as You0 DECO – the number 0 is pronounced “rei” in Japanese) posted a new teaser video and image on Friday. The video introduces the story and characters in the anime.
The story is set in Tom Sawyer Island, an “information metropolis” where reality and cyberspace overlap. The residents use Decos (Decorative Customization Tools), optical devices that they have to attach to their eyes, to combine their lives in both reality and virtual space known as Ultra Reproduction Space. Furthermore, the reciprocal social value called “love” can be expressed and displayed as a number, and the balance of these values leads to a harmonious society. People can improve their Deco by gaining lots of “love”, so residents are always busy accumulating “love”.
Rumors have spread of a “0 Phenomenon” – the disappearance of “love” thanks to a Phantom 0 on the island. A girl named Berry (pictured above) was hit by “Phenomenon 0” and became a “Ghost” – an invisible entity with no residency record. Berry meets an excellent Ghost hacker named Hack and joins the Ghost detective office to solve the mystery of 0 Phenomena. As she unravels the case, Berry comes closer to the hidden truth on Tom Sawyer Island.
The tagline in the image above reads, “I’m a Ghost, but I still exist.”
Contributing musical artists to the anime are mito from Clammbon, Kōtarō Saitō, and Yebisu303. Mito has composed anime soundtracks for anime such as Flip Flappers, and Alice & Zoroku under the alias TO-MAS.
Tomohisa Shimoyama (Super Shiro) is directing the anime, and Dai Sato is in charge of the series’ scripts.
The anime will premiere in July.
