Kodoani.com – Manufacturer Nano Kitaoka announced on the boy band project's official website Bushiroad comes from Argonavis (formerly BanG Dream's Argonavis!) on Monday that the game application Argonavis -Kimi ga Mita Stage e- (Argonavis -To the Stage You Envisioned-) will officially cease operations on November 30, 2024. Entire project Argonavis will paused indefinitely in 2025.
Decision to temporarily suspend the Argonavis project
Kitaoka explains that although the project Argonavis includes a variety of content such as live concert performances, but games still form the core of the project. When the game shut down, the team was faced with two options: end the project or continue in a reduced or altered form. After much deliberation, they decided pause the projectwith the belief that the project has the opportunity to return and expand in the future after having time to “recharge” its batteries.
Despite the pause, Argonavis will continue to release music through CDs and streaming services. A final event will be held in the second half of 2025 before the project is officially halted.
History of the Argonavis application and project
Mobile application Argonavis -Kimi ga Mita Stage e- has launched on the platform iOS and Android on the day February 7, 2024. Project Argonavis Okay Bushiroad first announced in May 2018. Animated television series Argonavis from BanG Dream! debuted in April 2020, airing in the programming block Super Animeism above MBS, TBSand 26 other channels across Japan. The anime revolves around the story of two music groups Argonavis and GYROAXIA.
Compilation film Gekijōban Argonavis: Ryūsei no Obligato of the anime debuted in November 2021, with some new footage added. Voice actors re-recorded lines for the film, and the team Argonavis performed the theme song.
Bushiroad and DeNA also launched a rhythm adventure game on mobile Argonavis from BanG Dream! AASide in January 2021. However, the game discontinued its service in January 2022.
Argonavis development and pause
Bushiroad has established a subsidiary company Argonavis take full ownership in 2021 and change the project name to “from Argonavis”. The movie Gekijō-ban Argonavis Axia (Argonavis the Movie: Axia), a collaboration between Argonavis, GYROAXIAand other music artists, debuted in March 2023 after multiple delays.
