Kodoani.com – Anime staff Ascendance of a Bookworm revealed a new trailer for the anime’s third season on Friday. The trailer previews the ending song of the anime “Kotoba ni Dekinai” (I Can’t Put It Into Words) by Maaya Sakamoto, and also reveals the anime’s April 11 premiere date.
The anime will premiere on Yomiuri TV on April 11; on Tokyo MX , WOWOW , and BS Fuji on April 13; and on AT-X on April 14.
The staff also revealed new visuals for returning characters Myne and Ferdinand (first two images below), as well as new character Sylvester (third image below).
Haruka Matsunae joins as the third character designer for the anime along with returning designers Toshihisa Kaiya and Yoshiaki Yanagida. Noriko Otake joins as animation director along with animation director Emiko Endo. (Previous animation directors Toshihisa Kaiya and Yoshiaki Yanagida are not credited for the role in the third season, but are credited only as character designers.)

All the main cast members are returning from previous seasons. Kazuhiko Inoue joins the cast of the third season as the new character Sylvester.
Ascendance of a Bookworm follows the life of a college student and aspiring librarian Motosu Urano, who is transported to another world after an unfortunate accident. When she reincarnated as Main, the daughter of a poor soldier, she made it her mission to make books more freely available to everyone in this reincarnated world.
The first anime season aired in two parts. The first season premiered in October 2019 and ended in December 2019 with 14 episodes. The second season premiered in Japan in April 2020. The original two-part anime (OVA) debuted alongside a limited edition of the first novel in the series’ fifth season in March 2020.
The second season premiered in October 2020.
J-Novel Club is publishing both Suzuka’s light novel and manga adaptation in English.
