Kodoani.com – Arc System Works posted a trailer introducing the character Tsurugi for Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes, the latest installment in French Bread’s Under Night In-Birth 2D fighting game series. The game is expected to release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on January 25, 2025. Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes will include a Season Pass with the following three new characters when released.
This game will mark the final chapter of the “Hollow Night” story and the beginning of the original series. There will be a total of 21 returning characters and three new characters, including Kaguya, Tsurugi, and Kuon.
Under Night In-Birth is a fighting game series originally created by French Bread (developer of Melty Blood) and started in 2012. The series has evolved and upgraded through different versions, and Arc System Works have made these versions available on many different platforms.
The Under Night In-Birth series has become famous for its unique GRD mechanics, where players compete to earn GRD resources, while also deciding how to use them in battle. The game also adds new features and characters through upgraded versions.
In addition, French Bread also developed the fighting game Melty Blood: Type Lumina based on the world of Type-Moon’s visual novel Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon. The game launched in 2021 and has since added more DLC characters from the Fate/Grand Order world.
