In a new interview with Crunchyroll, Hiroyoki revealed that these characters were inspired to create Girlfriend, Girlfriend after discussing another romance manga. “I’m not inspired by anything specific, but in a meeting with my editor, when I suggested this story, they mentioned that in The Quintessential Quintuplets, a girl is chosen, ” Hiroyuki said and added, “While discussing how we felt It’s bad for girls not to be chosen, we wondered what it would be like to write a story in which everyone could be chosen. Manga Quintessential Quintuplets is a manga series written by Negi Haruba and tells the story of academically gifted but financially deprived Futaro Uesugi, who takes a job tutoring five daughters of the wealthy Nakano family. yes. The story foretells that Uesugi will eventually marry one of the five girls, and leaves the reader guessing who the boy will marry over the course of the series.

Even though there are so many attractive girls appearing in the manga, in the end choosing just one of them feels like a wasted opportunity, so it’s a waste of time, so I don’t think it’s possible.” I was wondering if something could be done about that,” the author said. “I want to explore the possibilities of life. For example, if I were in that situation, I’m not sure I would 100% voluntarily push my girlfriend. If something even could happen one day. little, I want to explore it.”

Girlfriend, Girlfriend tells the story of Naoya, a high school student who eventually begins a relationship with the girl he’s always had a crush on, Saki. Just as Naoya and Saki’s relationship begins to develop, however, another girl, Nagisa, confesses her love for Naoya. Faced with the decision of not being able to choose between the two, Naoya chooses the third option – he will date both, and at the same time, with their permission.
