Back When You Called Us Devils author to launch manga in October 2021
Kodoani.com – This year’s 14th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine revealed on Monday that Takashi Sano will end the manga. Kimi ga Kemono ni Naru Mae ni (Before You Turn Into a Beast) in the magazine’s next issue on March 13.
The manga’s story centers on Hajime Kanzaki, a 31-year-old owner of a funeral home. One night, he runs into a childhood friend, the famous 26-year-old actress Kotone Kidō, and they spend the night together. When they broke up, Kotone left him with the cryptic comment: “You’re the only one who can stop me.” Later that night, a gas terrorist attack occurred at a train station in the city, killing 666 people. Through the footage of the attack, Hajime recognized the gas masked culprit as Kotone as she took off the mask and died as well. Hajime is then embroiled in the investigation surrounding the tragedy.
Sano launched the manga in Weekly Young Magazine in October 2021.
Sano previously drew the Back When You Called Us Devils (Kimi ga Bokura wo Akuma to Yonda Koro) manga. The manga launched on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app in 2017 and ended with its 14th volume in October 2020.
