The manga focuses on Huey, the Mask Maker serial killer in the Italian town of Lotto Valentino
Kodoani.com – Manga creator Kakuji Fujita announced on Sunday that the manga Uproar! by Ryohgo Narita will adapt the novel titled Baccano! ~from the 1700s~ launched on DMM’s DMM Books website on the same day. The manga belongs to DMM’s Gigatoon Studio web comic brand.
The manga is set in the small 18th-century Italian town of Lotto Valentino. The story centers on alchemist Huey Laforet’s apprentice, as he becomes embroiled in the plot of a masked serial killer. The mask is called Mask Maker. Narita began a light novel series with illustrations by Katsumi Enami in 2003. Narita released the series’ final novel “1935”, the 22nd (and latest) volume of the series, on August 2016. The series got an anime adaptation in 2007.

The light novel series has adapted two volumes of the Baccano! 1931 The Grand Punk Railroad by Ginyuushijin. The manga is serialized in Kadokawa’s monthly Dengeki Comic Gao! magazine from 2007-2008. Shinta Fujimoto launched a separate manga adaptation in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine in October 2015 and ended in January 2017. Yen Press licensed the manga and published the technical chapters. issue concurrently with the release in Japan.
