Bocchi the Rock fans rejoice that Kessoku Band has been confirmed for Japan Jam 2024! The anime production company has announced the rock and roll quartet that took the world by storm will perform at the annual Japan Jam as part of their Sunday, May 5 lineup. The festival hosted by Rockin’ On will last five days (April 28-29, May 3-5) and feature artists from across Japan, including UVERworld, The Oral Cigarettes, Tatsuya Kitani , SUPER BEAVER, Maximum the hormone, Asian Kung- Fu Generation, Creepy Nuts and more!
Tickets for each day can be purchased individually or at a discount 2-5 days after entering the lottery, which runs from February 7 to February 13. Ticket prices before taxes and fees are as follows;
- 1-day ticket = ¥13,000 (~87 USD)
- 2-day ticket = ¥23,000 (~154 USD)
- 3-day ticket = ¥32,000 (~215 USD)
- 4-day ticket = ¥38,000 (~255 USD)
- 5-day ticket = 43,000 Yen (~288 USD)
While the vocals for all Kessoku Band songs are performed by the character’s voice actresses, recording and live musicians include Osamu Hidai on drums, Akkin and Ritsuo Mitsui on guitar and Yūichi Takama on bass. Fans can watch a behind-the-scenes look at the studio below:
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you’ve heard of Kessoku Band. The CGDCT quartet is present everywhere on social networks and brings good results. Not only did the anime ‘Bocchi The Rock’ make it to the top anime list, Kessoku Band’s first album titled “Kessoku Band” also topped Billboard Japan’s download album chart and topped the Hot Album Chart, Oricon Album Chart and Digital Album Chart. (first for an all-female group) and received Gold Certification. It even reached one million monthly listeners on Spotify, an achievement any artist would be proud of.
Bocchi the Rock, follows Hitoti “Bocchi” Gotou, a socially awkward loner who tries her best to make friends but fails every time. One day, when she brought her guitar to school, she caught the attention of Nijika Ijichi, who quickly asked her for help as the guitar player in her band. Seeing an opportunity to have the friends and life she wants, she becomes a permanent fixture of the band, where they move toward their goals. The show’s first season is currently available on Crunchyroll.
