Bandai Namco’s ransomware attack has leaked titles scheduled for a 2023 release, including the Elden Ring DLC.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is said to have been attacked by a group called ALPHV with ransomware. This means that tons of important information can now be in the hands of these hackers, but Bandai Namco has neither confirmed nor denied these claims. The incident resembles what happened to Capcom a few years ago, which resulted in games like Dragon’s Dogma 2 being leaked online before the time of the reveal. The latest leaks from the Bandai Namco hack have revealed countless projects, including an upcoming Elden Ring DLC.
Gamers should note that the Capcom incident took a few days for the leaks to appear online, but now it looks like Bandai Namco’s plans for fiscal year 2023 have rolled out very soon. Perhaps more information could be leaked if Bandai Namco fails to reach an agreement with ALPHV or maybe the following information is completely fake. Either way, the hack could leak some potential games, including DLC for Elden Ring.
While this should be taken as a reference only, below is a picture of Bandai Namco’s planned projects for fiscal year 2023.
It’s hard to say for certain how many projects exist on this list, but perhaps it will become clearer in the coming days. The Elden Ring DLC isn’t coming out until 2023, which is probably a pretty long time considering FromSoftware’s DLC release schedule, but it should fit the scale of the game. This DLC also seems to be tied to the Badlands that Godfrey and Tarnished ventured into until being exiled from The Lands Between. It can uncover his and Nepheli’s background, as well as events occurring outside of The Lands Between and beyond. Or perhaps Godfrey’s army will come to The Lands Between and seek revenge for him. There are many possibilities but only time will tell what this DLC will bring.
Overall this list is interesting as no project looks completely impossible, but some projects will be. FromSoftware, for example, has a game in its final stages of development said to be Armored Core, but its early 2023 release date seems a bit early. Some of the games on this list are currently unannounced but are also highly desirable as their predecessors have a great storyline, such as Tales of Ascension and Code Vein 2. While some games do has been reported in other rumors and leaks such as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
