New game in the Dragon Ball Z series: Budokai Tenkaichi released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam
Kodoani.com – Bandai Namco Entertainment has just released an announcement trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, a new game in the arena fighting series Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, at The Game Awards on Thursday. The trailer reveals that the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, however, a release date has not been revealed.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi (also known as Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! in Japan) is a 3D action fighting game first released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2. The second game, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Neo in Japan), launched in October 2006 for PlayStation 2 in Japan and later in Europe, North America and Australia in November 2006. Wii version also has Versions of the game were released in November 2006 in North America, January 2007 in Japan, and March and April 2007 in Europe and Australia.
The third installment of the series, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Meteor in Japan), was released for the PlayStation 2 and Wii in Japan in October 2007. The game was later released for the PlayStation 2 and Wii in Japan in October 2007. PlayStation 2 in North America and Europe in November 2007. A Wii version of the game was also released in December 2007 in North America, and in February 2008 in Europe and Australia.
The most recent game in the series is Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team, released in August 2010 for the PlayStation Portable. This is the only game in the Budokai Tenkaichi series to be released on a handheld system.
