Kyoto Animation has released a new trailer and art for the upcoming Tsurune The Movie: The Start Shot anime series ahead of its premiere.
Kodoani.com – The newly released trailer offers fans a unique look at the film by bringing back key characters from the anime such as the hopeful archer Minato Narumiya and the enigmatic Masaki Takigawa . The trailer opens with Minato drawing a bow and releasing a flying arrow before the music plays to a soothing melody. The following is a series of clips featuring Minato and Masaki as they work to hone their skills and become the best archers they can be. The trailer also reveals that the movie’s official title is Tsurune The Movie: Hajimari no Isshawhich can be translated as Tsurune The Movie: The Beginning Shot.
Kyoto Animation released the first trailer for the upcoming film in September 2021. In addition to the recently released trailer, the studio has also released a new visual for Tsurune The Movie. Like the trailer, the new artwork depicts Minato and Masaki in archery outfits as they stand in the middle of a field of colorful flowers. Kyoto also informed fans that they will receive a bonus A4 clear file along with their ticket purchase from March 4 until stocks last. The bonus item comes in two different designs and will be awarded to ticket holders at random.

Kotoko Ayano’s Tsurune is a Japanese light novel series that tells the story of Minato Narumiya, a boy who abandons his love for Kyuudo, a modern Japanese martial art revolving around archery, after an incident that occurs. out in his last tournament in high school. However, after entering high school, Minato found himself drawn back to the sport when he met a mysterious archer named Masaki Takigawa at an archery school hidden in a forest. Inspired by Masaki’s great figure, Minato joins Kazemai High School’s Kyuudo Club along with childhood friends, Seiya Takehaya and Ryouhei Yamanouchi, and new teammates, Kaito Onogi and Nanao Kisaragi , to try and win the prefectural Kyuudo tournament.
An anime adaptation of the light novel series produced by Kyoto Animation aired from October 22, 2018 to January 21, 2019 with a total of 13 episodes. Most of the staff who worked on the anime have returned for the series, including directors Takuya Yamamura and Michiko Yokote, who will handle the script alongside Yamamura. The TV anime’s Japanese voice cast will also reprise their roles, such as Yuto Uemura (Bungou Stray Dogs) voicing Minato, Shintaro Asanuma (Assassination Classroom) voicing Masaki, Ryouta Suzuki (Kaguya- sama: Love is War) as Ryouhei and Aoi Ichikawa (Darling in the FranXX) as Seiya.
Tsurune The Movie: The started Shot will be released in Japanese theaters on August 19.
