Studio Eclypse has released the first English-dubbed anime trailer for its highly anticipated project Berserk: The Black Swordsman ahead of its 2025 release. The new video impressed many viewers with improved cuts from Eclypse's original Japanese trailer back in May.
Via X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube, Studio Eclypse has released the first trailer for Berserk: The Black Swordsman in English, as seen below. Notably, the new version features changes from the first trailer released on May 17, 2024, with Eclypse adding, “Thanks to the feedback we received and our supporters, we have upgraded some cuts, added more mid-cuts, and improved some animations in the hope of making the experience more enjoyable, thank you to those who fought for the support.”

The full English voice cast has also been announced, with Justin Parker (@TruRequiemVA on X) as Guts and series voice director @MilaVA as Casca. Rounding out the credits are @HeliosVA as Soldier, Grant Corvin as narrator and Soldier, @weirdsimon_va as Snake Lord, @coinbear2021 as Lord Mayor, and Lucia Lobosvilla as Puck. Berserk: The Black Swordsman will be released as a series starting in the summer of 2025. While the first trailer was widely received positively, there were some concerns that the film's high level of detail might come at the expense of animation fluidity, something the trailer attempts to address in its latest version.

As seen in one of the most ambitious fan anime projects in recent memory, the popularity of the Berserk series continues to endure around the world. Summary
Berserk (Japanese: ベルセルク, Hepburn: Beruseruku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a dark fantasy world inspired by medieval Europe, the story revolves around the characters Guts, a lone swordsman, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary group called the “Band of the Hawk”. The series follows Guts' journey to seek revenge on Griffith, who betrayed him and sacrificed his comrades to become a powerful demonic creature.
