Kodoani.com – A special live broadcast for the second anime season based on the novel Bofuri : I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Out My Defense of Yuumikan revealed the second promotional video of the season, along with Christmas Pictures on Saturday. Video announcing the anime premiere on January 11.
The special also revealed the first episode of the “Bōgyo Tokka to Christmas” season.
BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Part 2 will premiere on AT-X on January 11 at 11:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. EST) and it will also broadcast on Asahi Broadcasting Corporation , Tokyo MX , TV Aichi and BS11 . In Japan, it will stream first on the dAnime Store before streaming other services.
The second season of the anime was originally scheduled to premiere this year, but it was moved to January 2023.
Shin Oonuma returns to direct the second season of the anime at SILVER LINK. Mirai Minato co-directed the first season with Oonuma. Fumihiko Shimo is once again in charge of series composition. Kazuya Hirata is once again designing the characters and serving as the animation director. Hiroyuki Honda will also take on the role of animation director. Taro Masuda will return to compose music.
Vocal group Junjō no Afilia performed the opening theme song “Kono Tate ni Kakuremasu” (I Will Hide Behind this Shield), and singer FRAM performed the ending theme song “Step for Joy.”
The first anime of the novel Itai no wa Iya nano de Bōgyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu premiered in Japan in January 2020.

Yuumikan began serializing the manga on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Be a Novelist) website in 2016, and is still publishing chapters of the story on the website. Kadokawa began releasing the story as a print novel with art by Koin in September 2017.
Jirō Oimoto launched a manga adaptation in Kadokawa’s Comp Ace magazine in May 2018.
