Anime Call of the Night announced season 2 along with teaser images and video on Monday. The visual stars Nazuna Nanakusa (voiced by Sora Amamiya) and Anko Uguisu (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro).
The first season of the anime aired from July 2022 to September 2022 with a total of 13 episodes. Studio LIDENFILMS is in charge of animation with Tomoyuki Itamura as director.
The anime is based on Kotoyama’s manga and is named after the Creepy Nuts song of the same name, “Yofukashi no Uta” in Japanese. The band performed both the opening and ending songs titled “Daten” and “Yofukashi no Uta” respectively. The manga ended last January with a total of 200 chapters. Viz Media published the English version and describes the plot: “One night, a sleepless Yamori leaves his house to walk the streets of his town. Life after darkness is a revelation! Especially when he meets the flirtatious Nanakusa… She’s a lot happier to share the evening with than drunk old men on park benches. When she invited him to spend the night at her place in an abandoned building, he was delighted! But then he wakes up to kisses on his neck with one bite too many…”
