Kodoani.com – A website opened on Thursday to announce the stage play adaptation of the manga Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto titled CHAINSAW MAN THE STAGEwill take place from September to October 2023 in Tokyo and Kyoto.
Fumiya Matsuzaki will direct and write the script. The cast for the stage play will be announced later.
Fujimoto (Fire Punch) launched the Chainsaw Man manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018 and ended the “first part”, the “Kōan” (Public Safety) part, in December 2020. The second part of the series. manga, titled “Gakkō-hen” (School Arc), began on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service on July 13.
The manga’s anime adaptation premiered on TV Tokyo and five other affiliated channels, as well as on Amazon Prime Video on October 11. The 12th and final episode of the anime aired on December 28.
Denji is a teenage boy who lives with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt left by his father, he lived a life of the bottom while paying off his debt by harvesting demon corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji was betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a pact with Pochita and is resurrected as “The Chainsaw Man” – a man with an evil heart.
