Kodoani.com – The official website of the D4DJ brand revealed on Friday a promotional video for the second season of the D4DJ All Mix anime. The video reveals the January 13 premiere. The clip also reveals the opening song “Maihime” by Lyrical Lily.
The cast from various units will perform the ending theme song “Around and Around”. The cast includes Yūka Nishio (Rinku Aimoto), Risa Suzuki as Saki Izumo, Aimi (Kyōko Yamate), Natsumi Hirajima (Rika Seto), Rihona Katō (Tsubaki Aoyagi), and Hazuki Tanda as Miyū Sakurada. The opening theme’s single will be released on February 15, and the ending theme’s single will be released on March 15.
The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and other channels on January 13 at 11:00 p.m. JST.
There will be an enhanced screening of the first episode for the Bushiroad New Year event on January 9.
This season will feature all six groups including Lyrical Lily. The cast returns from last season. Maiko Irie will replace Kanon Shizaki as the character Rei Togetsu. Kanon Nanaki will replace Ami Maeshima as the character Ibuki Niijima.
D4DJ First Mix director Seiji Mizushima is currently the chief director of D4DJ All Mix at SANZIGEN Animation Studio and Daisuke Suzuki will direct. Go Zappa is returning to handle the series layout. Ryōhei Sataka is doing the music.
The D4DJ Double Mix special anime aired on August 19. The special is a self-contained episode revolving around the group Merm4id and Rondo. Mizushima is also the director and Suzuki is the director.
D4DJ First Mix, the main television anime in the franchise, premiered in Japan in October 2020. The English dub version of the show first premiered on YouTube in January 2021.
After BanG Dream! and Revue Starlight, D4DJ is Bushiroad’s DJ-themed multimedia project. The project includes live DJ performances, several manga, anime, and games. The project mixes new music as well as remixes popular tracks.
An anime short series called Pucchimiku D4DJ Petit Mix began airing in the franchise’s D4DJ Photon Maiden TV variety show in February 2021. The anime also streams on D4DJ’s official YouTube channel.
