Kodoani.com – NTT Solmare Corporation’s Comic Solmare e-book website announced the winners of the “Minna ga Erabu!! Denshi Comic Taishō 2019” contest (Everyone’s Pick!! Grand Online Comic Prize). ) on Tuesday. The comic site allows readers to vote on web comic titles from 56 publishers that are expected to be huge hits this year.
The grand prize winner was Oni no Hanayome, adapted from the novel Kureha by artist Jun Togashi. The manga is a Cinderella story set in a world where humans and ayakashi coexist.
The male comic award went to Otsuji’s My Stepothers and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked and Fushiashikumo’s The Great Snake’s Bride. My Stepothers and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked will release in May and The Great Snake’s Bride will release in July.
In the Comics for Girls category, the winners were Nana Aokawa’s Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi (“What Happened When There Were No Girls at the Mixer”) and Denka, Kokoro no Koe ga Dadamore Desu! (“Your Highness, Your Inner Thoughts Are Gushing Out!”).
As a sign of the growing proliferation of other world-themed anime and manga, the competition added an isekai category to the genre in 2021. This year’s entries are Tsuihō Sareta Akuyaku Reijō Desu ga, Mofumofu Tsuki!? by Taishi Nekota!? In the Light Novel category, Shinya Eigyō Kujiratei: Gozen 0-ji no Napolitan (“Kujiratei Is Open Late: Napolitan at 12 am”) by Jin Kizuki and Though I Am an Inept Villainess: Tale of the Butterfly-Rat Body Swap in the Satsuki Nakamura’s Maiden Court won the top prize. Seven Seas licensed the light novel and manga adaptation of it. Seven Seas published the first volume of the light novel in September
The genre TL or “teenage love”, an 18+ subgenre aimed at female readers, awarded Rami Takashino’s Osananajimi Bartender to Hajimeru Kaikan Lesson (“Start a lesson in fun with Bartender, friend’s friend”) my childhood”) and Umenokoppe’s Akuyaku Mob Reijō ni Tensei Shitara Kōryaku Taiyō no.
