Season 5 of Date a Live (titled Date a Live V) has released a new trailer ahead of its premiere later this year. No information about the specific date of the launch has been given as of the time of this writing. Studio GEEKTOYS will produce this season’s animation under the direction of Jun Nakagawa.

The first season of Date a Live premiered in 2013 under studio AIC+. IMS Production later produced a second season in 2014, followed by an anime film titled Date a Live: Mayuri Judgment in 2015. JC Staff animated a third season in 2019, marking the return of the series after 4 years. Keitaro Motonaga directed it all. Meanwhile, Studio GEEKTOYS animated two spin-off movies called Date a Live: Dead or Bullet and Date a Live: Nightmare or Queen in 2020.
Face-to-face dating Part 5 – Introductory imageDate a Live is a Japanese light novel series by Koshi Tachibana. Fujimi Shobo published stories with illustrations by Tsunako from 2011 to 2020 and had a total of 22 volumes. Yen Press is publishing the novel in English and describes the plot as follows:
April 10. First day of school. Shido Itsuka was rudely awakened by his personal alarm clock—his sister. It’s shaping up to be another typical day… well, as typical as it gets on a planet plagued by massive space quakes. However, Shido has no idea that his life is about to take an unexpected turn when he encounters the source of this destructive phenomenon—a girl the same age as him, apparently known as the Spirit. . As it turns out, there are only two ways he can stop her from unleashing hell on the world: Remove her by force or appease her… by taking her out on a date and making her fall in love with him!
